How To Fix Eyeliner Mistakes

Maybe putting on your eyeliner is the most stressful part of your daily makeup routine. No matter how hard you try, it’s not easy to get that perfect line for some reason you can’t explain. Even if you do it on one eye, you can’t do it the same way on the other. Is that like Murphy’s Law, or what? But don’t worry, you don’t have to stop loving your best eyeliner because you made a mistake when you put it on. We can help you fix it. Let’s see.

Cotton swabs and soap

Put a few drops of cleanser on a clean cotton bud until it is damp but not soaked. Use this to fix just the area where the mistake happened. Wait for the area to dry, then put your eyeliner back on. This trick works best with micellar water because it dries quickly. You can also use light cleansing milk or lotion, but don’t use oil because it’s too heavy for this job.

Pen Eyeliner

When the baseline of your eyeliner isn’t smooth and straight anymore, you can use a pen eyeliner to fix it. It promises to be accurate, and its fine nib can be used to make the line smoother by making it thicker on top.

Concealer

Concealer is made to hide flaws, but it’s not just for blemishes and dark circles. No one will know if your eyeliner gets too close to your brow bone or is too thick and thin a concealer brush or applicator.

Cotton Balls and Vaseline

Similarly to the first hack, you can put a minimal amount of petroleum jelly and remove it with the end of a cotton bud. It’s easy to use and will eliminate the eyeliner you put on wrong, but you have to be careful when doing so.

Change it up

If you want to go big with your crooked eyeliner instead of going home, you could turn it up a few notches instead of fixing it. Once it’s dry, use an eye shadow of the same color to go over it and slightly up. To fix this mistake and make it look great, add a second color to the crease and blend the two.
