How to Apply Eye Makeup for Deep-Set Eyes

It’s hard to figure out what shape your eyes are, but there is an easy way to know if you have deep-set eyes. Take a look at your eyes from the side in a mirror. Do you think your brow bone stands out more? Your eyes are farther back in your head. You likely have deep-set eyes if you said yes to any of the questions above. It’s all about technique when putting on eye makeup that looks good on deep-set eyes. To get the most out of every makeup look, you need to make small changes based on your eye shape. Here’s how to put on makeup to make your eyes look better.
Start at the beginning
To make deep-set eyes stand out, use a lighter eyeshadow to highlight and brighten the shape of the eye. Use a neutral eyeshadow all over your lid, and make sure to blend it in well.
Go to the fold
Use a fluffy eyeshadow brush and a black or deep brown eyeshadow in your eye’s crease and outer corner. Instead of putting on the dark shadow all at once, build up the color as you go.
Add a little sparkle
To make the eyes look forward, put shimmery eyeshadow in a salmon color in the middle and inner corners of your eyelids. Blend it well so that the shimmer and dark eyeshadow look like they belong together. This can be done with a precise eyeshadow brush that is stiff. But don’t mix the shimmer too much or spread it past the middle and inner corners of your eyelids.
Show off your brow bone
Use a light eyeshadow to highlight your brow bone and make a subtle gradient.
Make your lower lash line look better
Using the same dark eyeshadow you put on the outside corner of your eyelid, connect the outside corner to your lower lash line, and blend it well.
Use mascara that curls
Mascara is an essential part of any eye makeup look. And when it comes to your eyes, curling your eyelashes will do a lot to make them look bigger and brighter. Use a few coats of the L’Oréal Paris Bambi Eye Washable Mascara, Lasting Volume, our best mascara for curling. It gives the lashes more volume and definition and keeps them curled all day, so they don’t fall out.
Falsehoods can add some punch
For the finishing touch, shape your eyebrows and use brow products to fill in any gaps. Curl your eyelashes and put on some mascara, or if you want to step it up a notch, just put on a pair of beautiful false eyelashes. If you’re getting ready for the evening, add some good old winged liner to make it even better.
